Read-Only Access
We only request read-only permissions. We never modify, delete, or alter any files in your Google Drive.
Non-Intrusive Signals
Scans evaluate lightweight metadata signals and timestamps. Your file content is never stored or used to train AI models.
Your Data, Your Control
You can revoke DocShot’s read-only Google permission at any time directly through your Google Account settings.
1. Information We Collect
When you sign in to DocShot (operated by Zero Shot Labs, Inc.) using Google OAuth, we collect limited account profile information (such as your name, primary email address, and profile picture) to authenticate your session.
During a scan, DocShot accesses document metadata (file names, MIME types, creation dates, modification dates, last view timestamps, and ownership indicators) to compute duplicate and temporal authority scores without inspecting full document contents.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected metadata strictly to:
- Identify exact duplicate files and near-duplicate document clusters.
- Calculate temporal authority and stale file scores (e.g., flagging files that haven't been edited but are still actively viewed).
- Generate your confidential document hygiene audit report.
3. Google API Services User Data Policy
DocShot's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Security & Data Retention
All communications between your browser, our GCP backend, and Google APIs are encrypted using industry-standard TLS. Metadata is processed securely and is never sold, leased, or shared with third parties.
